History of SEGA

SEGA® is a worldwide software and hardware developing company. Now, however, SEGA are only developing games as third party Company for other consoles. They used to make consoles such as the SEGA Mega drive, but they re-entered the industry as a company focusing on software only in January 2001.

The SEGA logo has been the same ever since they have existed. It is very well-known because it has been around since the company registered as Service Games of Japan in 1952. The recognizable logo has always been blue with the lines through the letters font. In newer SEGA games, the logo comes up with a flashy appearing effect with a voice saying “SEGA” very seriously. However, in the older SEGA games there has been a different appearing effect for the logo in nearly every game, along with the classic “SEEEEEEEEEEGAAAAAAAAAA” Chant.

The SEGA logo is very recognizable, but if by chance there is actually a person that doesn’t know what SEGA is, then they won’t know what SEGA is about because it doesn’t say anything about the company. Therefore, I am going to redesign the logo to include more information and liven up the logo. I love the SEGA logo, and want it to stay as it is. Anyway, I am only redesigning this for fun, (and because I have to for Tech work).
