Design Situation
Advertising is a multimillion pound industry. Advertising includes logos, packaging, point of sale displays, websites and television campaigns. International companies from Ford to McDonalds spend millions of pounds each year on advertising. Even smaller companies spend large amounts of their budget on good advertising campaigns.

Design Brief
I am going to redesign the logo for Sega. I will also design and make a piece of packaging for one of their products, as well as designing and making a point of sale display for that product.

Initial Specification
My products will have or do the following:
·        Display the product that is for sale
·        Stand out and catch eyes
·        Be environmentally friendly
·        Be aesthetically pleasing

This is Mueli's version. IMO it looks kind of... interesting. But its still good because of the neatness of it. But IMHO it looks to much for a one logo. Haha lol mine may or may not suck compared, but i will leave that decision to some other viewer... I did the letters and the sonic bit and the black writing. Mueli the lines and bluey font colour. im not using this as presented work however, so dont judge this.
This is what it would look like with part of the mascot - Sonic - on it. I might put more chars on later.
This is version 2. It shows what it could looks like engraved on a piece of metal. Random but yeah.

Yeah Sega pwns. LOL DONT SUE ME SEGA YOUR'RE THE BEST :DDDD
THE NAME SEGA IS NOT OF MY PROPERTY AND ALL RIGHTS REGARDING THE NAME 'SEGA' GOES TO SEGA lol im bad at writing diclaimers. I AM NOT ENDORSED BY SEGA IN ANY WAY. ALL INTELECTUAL PROPERTIES GO TO THE RIGHTFUL OWNER. hopefully that makes me unsueable

Sega logo V1

This is my first new design. Lol, i know it sucks compared to the original, amazing, recognizable SEGA logo. But what do you expect from a random year 10 guy who has no significance and/or impact on the universe?
XD

History of SEGA

SEGA® is a worldwide software and hardware developing company. Now, however, SEGA are only developing games as third party Company for other consoles. They used to make consoles such as the SEGA Mega drive, but they re-entered the industry as a company focusing on software only in January 2001.

The SEGA logo has been the same ever since they have existed. It is very well-known because it has been around since the company registered as Service Games of Japan in 1952. The recognizable logo has always been blue with the lines through the letters font. In newer SEGA games, the logo comes up with a flashy appearing effect with a voice saying “SEGA” very seriously. However, in the older SEGA games there has been a different appearing effect for the logo in nearly every game, along with the classic “SEEEEEEEEEEGAAAAAAAAAA” Chant.

The SEGA logo is very recognizable, but if by chance there is actually a person that doesn’t know what SEGA is, then they won’t know what SEGA is about because it doesn’t say anything about the company. Therefore, I am going to redesign the logo to include more information and liven up the logo. I love the SEGA logo, and want it to stay as it is. Anyway, I am only redesigning this for fun, (and because I have to for Tech work).
